Hey today G2000 have discounts all the way till national day. And Hongwei bought a suit. But I'm going to buy it by this week i think. Haha. Spoke to my sis, and she said she will buy for me! Whaoo!! Favour! All thanks to my daddy. Because I prayed for her and she got her promotion! haha. See, no need to do anything, but just get rewards! This is grace!
I was wondering about this verse which struck me on sunday. (Don't bother to say why.)
Jam 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of the righteous man availeth much.
Wanna see what I found out? Confess there is not the confess we all thought is. Its not homologeō (speak what God thinks of you.) Righteous! As in 1 John 1:9. But this confess here is exomologeō (to acknowledge or (by implication of assent) agree fully: - confess, profess, promise.) Some people say to declare openly. I told myself cannot be! How can this be telling us to confess our sins for us to be healed? By confessing our sins doesn't make us any righteous as we have read in the book of Romans!
Rom 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God, through our Lord Jesus Christ:
Rom 5:2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
It is by grace not by our works! So let me show you what is this exomologeō. Erm.. Please read my next blog for more informations... haha
ok this exomologeō is also used in Matthew 11:25
At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them to babes.

Yes you are right, to declare openly, but not our sins! Because all our lawless deeds, God has remember NO MORE It is to Praise Him that Jesus has taken all your sins on that cross and to openly declare that you are the Righteousness of God in Christ Jesus!! I can't agree more with this! That is why after that the holy Spirit says that the fervent prayer of the Righteous avails much! Because after declaring that you are the righteousness of God in Christ and praising Jesus that He has taken all your sins on the cross, your prayer avails much! Because you know you are the righteous! And only by that you will be healed! Because if you don't know that you are the righteousness of God in Christ, you are guilty and thought that God is far or worst wants to punish you. How on earth are you going to get healed? People stop giving the devil a chance to deceive us any longer! There's just this holy anger on sunday when I heard what was said, it just give people a guilty conscience. I want to have righteousness conscience, how about you?

I have read about James 5:16 after you asked me this question. Base on the context itself, the verse before Confessing your sins to one another and pray.
The verse before this is actually,talking about the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.
Notice it is forgiven first followed by confessing of your sins. When i was reading and mediating on this verse itself. It is actually addressing the root of the sickness.
Certain people would actually need to know they are Righteous in Christ before they are healed. Partly due to the belief system they have. If the person believe that Sickness is from God due to the mistakes they made. Confessing of sins to one another is actually a way of helping the person to know they are already forgiven.
The whole context actually explain itself clearly. =)
hey you know what? by reading the context, it says if ye have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Then is confess you faults... Know what? Its knowing that you have been forgiven! you can give thanks(exomologeo)declare openly! Notice it did not say that If ye have committed sins, confess your faults and they will forgiven him? haha. Thanks bro! :)
